Today I would like to share with you one of the many lessons I learned while in Argentina.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 tells us that if we know Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we are no longer our own, and we need to use our bodies that the Holy Spirit lives in for His glory not our own. If I am honest with you, there were times when I was uncomfortable and just felt like throwing in the towel. I do not know if you have ever felt this way, but I have. I did not like feeling that way because I knew that being in Argentina is what God wanted, yet I felt like not doing what He had sent me to do. I went to the Word of God to get help with this wrong attitude. There in the Bible, I saw that I am not the only one who has ever struggled with doing the will of the Lord. Jesus Himself at times asked the Father if the death on the cross could pass from Him. He says in Matthew 26:39, “nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.” That is the key. We need to say that no matter how I feel, I am here to do the will of the Father. I am not here for myself or what I can get. I am here for the glory of God. We need to deny ourselves when we feel like we can’t or don’t want too. We need to say not our will or not what I want, but what He wants is what I will do.
This is a very important lesson that I learned that this life is not about me or what I want. Instead it is all about God and what He wants from my Life.
For His Glory
