My Story Part 4

I arrived in Georgia after a long two weeks of getting ready and Satan trying to stop me. In those two weeks we had a tornado come through our town and knock out trees and power lines. Then one week before I was to leave someone rear ended me and totaled my jeep. God knew what He was doing though because He knew I would need a car with better gas mileage then a jeep so He saw fit to provide me with a Honda Civic.

Mat 6:31  Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Mat 6:32  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Mat 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Mat 6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. These verses can sum up the past year for me. My God has taken care of me each step of the way. Not once have I fallen behind in school bills or gone without food. My God has provided each step of the way. Since moving here,God has been working on me greatly on the “be” level. My church Vision Baptist has what they call “be, do, serve, and train.” The “be” level is who we are when no one is looking. The us that no one really knows. The “do” level is living out the Bible. The “serve” level is helping others even when you know they can’t help you. The “train” level is training others to do it themselves. I can honestly say that God has been working hard on my understanding of who He is and what His Word means. It has been great! One of the first classes I took when I got here was taught by former missionary Chris Gardner. It was “Identity in Christ”, an incredible journey through the word of God about who I am in Christ. 2Co 5:17  “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”It was because of this class that I finally stopped something that I needed to for a long time (more on that later). But God is still working on me as Php 1:6 says  “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”  God is still working on me but I know I can trust Him even if it hurts at times. The Lord has blessed me richly over the past year He has provided each step of the way both with my physical needs and spiritual. He has given me mentors to help me understand His word. He has also blessed me with a godly woman Emma Pepperdine. I first noticed her when she gave an update after returning from a missions trip to Peru. (Now I believe the woman you choose to marry will either help you or hinder you in the ministry God has called you to so I knew that I needed a girl who was already surrendered to the mission field before I met her). When I saw her she caught my attention. Not only was she absolutely beautiful, but she was interested in missions! I had to get to know her. Well, I have certainly done that! Now it has been     9 months since she became my girlfriend. We love each other and believe it to be God’s will to be married in the future, and we are spending time in the word of God together so that we can do more for the kingdom of God as a Christian couple.
