Mountainside

The highest mountain outside of Asia is in Argentina. Aconcagua is 6,962m (22,841ft) high and is in the Mendoza province of Argentina. Argentina is a beautiful country with a vast array of climate choices. With subtropical areas up north, frozen tundra down south, four seasons in the middle, mountains to the west, and an ocean to the east, if you want, we got it!

This past week at Fe Iglesia Bautista we had Vision Sunday. This was a special time for the small church to see the vision that Patrick has for them. In the morning service, Patrick Henry preached about what the job of the church is from the four Gospels and the book of Acts (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:46-47, John 20:21, Acts 1:8). Here Jesus commands the church to go with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world. Patrick challenged the church to reach out to their friends and family to see them reached with the Gospel and to see the church grow so that they can better reach more people; not just here in Argentina but the whole world! The evening service was a bit more relaxed, and we had a brainstorming meeting over mate (Argentine hot tea beverage) to come up with ways to better reach out into our community and see the church grow and people reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
