July Missions Update

Month in Review

We had a wonderful month in July. Robert preached for his first time in Spanish for 5 minutes! This was a very exciting language school step. Please continue to pray for us as we grow in the language. 

Survey Trip To Buenos Aires 

Towards the beginning of the month, we spent a week in the province of Buenos Aires for our first survey trip. During that week, we got to spend time learning from the Patrick Henry family and what a week in their ministry looks like at Iglesia Bautista Fe. They had a special Heritage Sunday on the 9th of July since that day is Argentina’s Independence Day. Patrick helped us survey a few cities that we are possibly interested in if the Lord leads us to Buenos Aires. On Wednesday night, we visited Iglesia Bautista Esperanza and got to see the ministry started by the Stephen Underwood family. We enjoyed our time getting to answer questions during the service and seeing the work they are doing. Please be in prayer for these two families and their ministries here. 

Youth Conference 

After we got back to Rosario, Iglesia Bautista Victoria had their winter youth conference. The guest preacher for the conference is a missionary from Peru to Bolivia. Robert got to go pick him and his wife and baby up from the airport which is about three hours away. Robert loved getting to talk about ministry and practice Spanish. There were many visitors each night of the conference and a few have continued to attend the church. The final night, the youth of the church put on a play demonstrating that only Christ can satisfy the emptiness in our life.
