Snack Time!!!

This week has been a busy one! We were able to help the Henry’s and King’s move into their new homes, and we are praising God for providing them. Also, this week we started language school with a new teacher, Judith, and really enjoyed our first lesson. While at her house, we were able to have merienda with her. This was our first time getting to enjoy this experience. The eating schedule here is very different from the States. Argentina is what I would call a “late culture” meaning that it is not unusual to stay up until 1 or 2 in the morning. The workday often begins at around 8 and by doing so can really change the eating times.  The following is a common eating schedule and menu:

  • 7:00 Breakfast – toast or medialunas, coffee or tea
  • 11:00 Mid-morning Breakfast – coffee or tea with a small cookie
  • 2:00 Lunch: a portion of meat, salad
  • 5:00 Merienda: medialunas, coffee or tea
  • 10:00 Dinner: a smaller portion of meat, salad, and dessert

I would ask you to pray for Judith and her husband Gaston as they are new believers in Jesus Christ, that they would grow Spiritually in Him and fall in Love with our Savior.

Yours in Christ
Robert and Emma Becker
